About Membership
The LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats is a statewide network of organizers, candidates, and everyday Kentuckians working to increase LGBTQIA representation and power in Kentucky politics.
Full membership is open to all registered Democrats in Kentucky — LGBTQIA people and allies alike. You do not have to identify as LGBTQIA to be a voting member.
Supporters who are not registered Kentucky Democrats, or who live outside the state, may still join as Associate Members.
GENERAL MEMBER (FREE)
For registered Kentucky Democrats who want to stay connected and take part in Council activities.
- Meeting + event invitations
- Serve on committees and projects
- Voting rights when in good standing
SUPPORTING MEMBER
For registered Kentucky Democrats who want to go a step further with time or financial support.
- Includes all General Member benefits
- Donate or volunteer at least once per quarter
- Full voting rights when in good standing
- Eligible for leadership roles (chairs + subcommittee leads)
ASSOCIATE MEMBER
For supporters who are not registered Kentucky Democrats or who live out of state.
- Attend meetings + events
- Join committees and volunteer
- Non-voting membership
Good standing: Attend at least one Council event within the last six months and remain responsive to communications. Good standing is required for all voting and leadership roles.
