LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats Pride of the Commonwealth

Every day, LGBTQIA Kentuckians are leading in their neighborhoods, schools, city halls, and statehouses. But we need more than visibility—we need power. That’s why the LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats is organizing, fundraising, and growing a movement rooted in pride, purpose, and people like you.

This Pride season, we’re launching a statewide fundraising challenge—and you’re invited.

Our Goal: $25,000 by the end of Pride season.

These funds will help us:

Train and support queer candidates for school boards, city councils, and the state legislature.
Host community events and town halls across Kentucky that center LGBTQIA voices.
Launch our inaugural Leadership Academy and Messaging Lab.
Cover costs for our Pride Passport program so that anyone can participate in the movement—no matter their income.

We believe in a Kentucky where LGBTQIA people are safe, heard, and represented—not just in our communities, but in our politics. This isn’t just about fundraising. It’s about building the kind of momentum that changes what’s possible in our state.

Let’s be honest: We’ve been underestimated before. That ends now.
