These terms of use apply to your use of the LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats website and all associated services (including, but not limited to, emails received from the LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats and content embedded on other websites) provided by the LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats and its associated entities. By accessing or using our services, you accept these conditions.
- Privacy Policy
These terms of use include our privacy policy, which describes how we use your personal information. - Accuracy
We strive to ensure all information provided by the LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats is as accurate as possible. However, this information is presented without warranty, either express or implied, regarding its accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. It is not intended to replace official versions of that information, where applicable, such as information provided by a candidate, part central committee, or government office. - Other Websites
We provide links to other websites but cannot control what those sites say or do. In particular, websites we link may request your personal and/or financial information. The LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats is not responsible for other sites’ content, information collection practices, or use of the information they collect. Our links to other websites do not constitute an endorsement of those sites or their content, owners, or posters.
We encourage third parties and individuals to link to our website and content posted herein. Such links do not constitute an endorsement by the LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats of these third-party websites or their content, owners, or posters. - Campaign Finance Laws
Political contributions are governed by campaign finance laws. We do our best to ensure that all contributions made on our site comply with these laws. Nonetheless, you have the final responsibility for ensuring your own compliance.
For example: We will not permit users to make donations larger than the legal limit to an executive committee according to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance and the Federal Election Commission. However, we do not track donors’ contributions through other avenues (e.g., other fundraisers, websites, or other executive committees). Therefore, you (and not us) are responsible for ensuring that your total contributions through these different avenues do not exceed contribution limits for state and federal limits. If you are in a position to make these kinds of large contributions, please be careful to track your contributions to help our accountants properly allocate your donations in state and federal accounts and refund or reject any donations over statutory limits.
Kentucky: You can give a maximum of $5000 per election for use in Kentucky elections.
Federal: You can give a maximum of $10,000 combined between all Kentucky Democratic Committees for use in Federal Elections, such as the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.
Building Fund: You can give unlimited donations to our building fund because the donations are put into an account separated from our state and federal election funds. Contributions to the building fund will be allocated to building and maintaining offices and facilities for the LGBTQIA Council for Kentucky Democrats. - Permissions and Reuse

In addition, you grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, and display this content in any media.

Further, you may not make use of our website or services to forge email headers or send bulk unsolicited email messages (“spam”). - Refund Policy
We do everything we can to accommodate requests for refunds. We do our best to honor refunds requested for reasons such as input error, when a contributor accidentally donates twice or enters the wrong donation amount. We will not consider refunds for other reasons such as a change in political or personal opinion or the cancellation of an event. We reserve the right to refuse a refund request for these or other reasons.
All refund requests are subject to the availability of the contribution funds. Because we forward contributions to the state, federal, and building funds to whom you choose to contribute, we will only refund a contribution if we still have the funds or can recover the funds from the recipient in the event of transfer to another executive committee or state party. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance that you make your request for a refund as soon after contributing as possible.
All refunds issued by us will be credited back to the card used to make the contribution. In all cases where we cannot accommodate a refund request, we will be happy to work with you in an attempt to recover the funds via our accounting process.
We use PayPal and Stripe to process online transactions, leveraging their state-of-the-art fraud prevention services to ensure the security and integrity of your contributions. - Cancellation Policy
For your convenience, we offer the ability to make a recurring contribution using a stored payment method. When you sign up for a recurring contribution, we will charge the amount you designated to your stored account once each month and forward that contribution to the recipient fund you have chosen. All payment information is stored securely in our system, and we will never change the amount, frequency, or recipient of your recurring contribution. If you wish to cancel future instances of a recurring contribution, or change the payment method used for future charges, you can do so by clicking on the appropriate link in your original receipt, by looking up your contribution on our website, or by sending us an email with your request. - DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
